What is a personal accident?
It is the fortuitous, sudden and abnormal event due to an external cause that is beyond the control of the policyholder and/or the insured person, which causes bodily injuries that can be clinically and objectively verified.
Is fire insurance mandatory?
Yes, it is mandatory for buildings under horizontal ownership, guaranteeing coverage for damage caused to the property by fire, as per paragraph 1 of article 1429 of the Civil Code.
Insurance must be taken out by the owners of each fraction (condominium owners). If they do not do so within the deadline and for the amount decided at the condominium meeting, the condominium administrator must do so, and will then be reimbursed by the condominium owners.
It must cover each autonomous unit and the common parts of the building (roof, stairs, elevators, garage, etc.).
The obligation to insure the risk of fire can be fulfilled by taking out an insurance policy of the “Fire and Natural Elements” modality or included in “Multi-risk” insurance.
Is work accident insurance mandatory?
Yes, this insurance is mandatory for all workers and the lack of insurance is punishable by law and may result in the payment of a fine. In the case of an accident involving an employee, the employer is responsible for paying the benefits provided for by law, transferring, through insurance, this responsibility to the insurer.
